Christmas Programs!!!

JENTRY
Jentry's first grade Christmas program. I can't believe how many first graders there are! It was really a cute program but we were so far back it was hard to get any good pictures.

Singing away! They sang some cute songs that I'd never heard before and some of the good old classics!

HALEIGH

Haleigh getting ready to perform. Proud as can be that she has her own Santa Hat.

It took her a while to figure out how to get those "antlers" over her pigtails, but she finally figured it out!

Haleigh with her antlers. (They are on backwards of course, but hey, at least she got them on!)

An up close and personal concert. Haleigh singing her "Santa Song". Too Cute!!!

Decorating the Tree

It's time to decorate! All week the girls have been hauling boxes of Christmas decorations down from the attic. They sure help to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Josh was in charge of the lights because those real trees (as good as they smell) are really pokey and sappy!

Jentry getting the ornaments ready to hang up.

Jentry and Mom showing off some of our "Cowboy" ornaments.

Haleigh helping Dad.

Jentry finding the perfect spot for her ornament.

What great helpers!

The girls had a great time! The bottom half of the tree got a little heavy with ornaments so Josh and I "rearranged" as we went.

Here it is - all done! This picture is so funny! Check out Jentry - is she six or sixteen?!?!

Finding the Perfect Tree!

It is time for the annual Christmas Tree cutting! We headed for Eureka and spent a few hours searching for the perfect tree!

So, these pictures are a little hard to see, but this is Josh and Jentry hiking the mountain. We were looking for a fur so had to go up in the mountians. Haleigh and I decided we should keep the Jeep company. Plus, someone had to be taking the pictures, right?

After a few minutes Jentry got tired and proceded up the mountain on Josh's back! After they were unable to find anything "perfect" we decided to try our normal spot.

Following Josh out to the perfect tree.

Josh headed back to the Jeep with our tree!

I was getting a little desperate for something to blog so when the girls both came home with cute hats from school . . . Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and reflect on all of the many things we have to be greatful for.

Hey Baby - We went to Vegas!

There's nothing better than a trip to warmer weather! We were able to go to Vegas for a few days and play in the sun! We spent one day with my parents and the other days with just our family. Thanks, Grandma, for letting us use your time share! We had a ball!
The girls favorite part - Swimming, of course! The little fish had to swim at least twice a day. The hot tub was their favorite because it was much warmer! Josh was such a good sport to play with them while I soaked in the sun!
Josh and Haleigh jumping into the cold pool after the hot tub! CRAZY!!!

Checkin' out some TV. Gotta have some down time!

Grandma and the girls getting ready to check out the Strip!

We headed to the Strip to check out a magic show with the kids. It was pretty incredible! Can you believe how huge and incredible some of these places are? There is a very different feel to this place then our "sheltered" little life in Bountiful! Here are some random pics from the Strip.

The magic show was great! The guy was hilarious and Jentry was chosen out of the audience to help the magician. She did great and got a balloon dog and a DVD of the magician for being such a good sport. We couldn't take pictures during the show so this is as good as we could get after the show.

We did a lot of walking and looking!

A motorcycle made to look like a woman?!?

One of the casinos had a haunted bridge decorated for Halloween. (As if some of the things you see in Vegas aren't scary enough!)

I'm always enthralled by these guys - they stand around all day doing nothing but holding still like a statue! What a boring job! It's sure fun to see though!

Snow Allready!

I can't believe it snowed! The kids were thrilled to death. As soon as we got home from church they changed clothes and out they went! Their friend Kole was just as excited as they were and even the dogs loved it. I guess I was out numbered on this one!

Harvest Time

It's time to reap the rewards of our neighborhood garden. We had about 8 families on our street that "farmed" an empty lot this year. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. Yesterday we went to pick our pumkins and squash. All of the kids got to pick their own pumpkin. Here are Haleigh and Jentry's picks!

They loved the "baby pumpkins" too.

Happy Birthday Haleigh!

Today is Haleigh's 4th Birthday! I can't believe that my baby is 4 already! We sure love you cute girl. Some of Haleigh's favorite things: BLANKEE (yes, still), fruit snacks, Bubba, Curious George, singing, laughing, making funny faces and just being a cutie. We are so glad you came to our family, Haleigh! Here are some pics of the last few years!

1st Day of School!!!

Yesterday was Jentry's first day of 1st grade! I can't believe she's old enough to go to a full day of school! She absolutely loved it! She has some friends in her class that she knows from kindergarten and she loves her new teacher, Mrs. Z. She loves having 3 recesses and eating in the cafeteria. Oh, the joys of elementary school!

Pickin' Peaches in our PJ's!

One of our neighbors recently moved and we decided that someone needed to take advantage of the peach trees in their yard, so . . . we did!

The kids were in their jammies because it was almost bed time, but we went picking anyway. Jentry, Haleigh and their friend Kole had a ball picking all of the peaches . . . and eating a few too of course!
Here are the kids (Haleigh, Jentry, Fred and Kole) pushing the wagon home with the goods.
